Designing a garden for Alzheimer’s sufferers in West Cavan

We are currently working with the 1825 Project who have been running a cross border training partnership for 18-25 year olds between West Cavan & Craigavon over the last few years.

As part of their accredited course, participants are currently researching and designing a section of the community garden in West Cavan to be suitable for people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families to take part in gardening activities.  If you look on our Life Long Learning page on this site you’ll see how this fits into another part of our 2011 work plan.

If you would like to contribute your own ideas to help the group with this project please leave a public comment on the 1825 page or contact Sandy. Thanks. Closing date Monday 30th May 2011.  More information and photos on our 1825 Project page.
