Gardening course for Women

Venue: Killycarney Community Garden (near Blacklion). Recommencing on  Thursday 12th April 11am-1pm and weekly until end of May covering:
• Vegetable growing for beginners (new members very welcome). Even
if you think you know nothing about growing vegetables, the existing
members of the group and tutor will guide you though step-by-step
and you will get a share of the produce grown to take home.
• Looking after a polytunnel. The garden now has two functioning
polytunnels. The course will explain in a step-by-step way how to look
after a polytunnel. Ideal for anyone considering erecting a tunnel at
home.
• Constructing new raised beds. Don’t worry about the heavy work – help
is on hand. You’ll learn how to set up a new area in your garden at
home for growing flowers or vegetables. The course includes advice on
soil types so don’t worry if you’re soil seems bad.
• Growing herbs, flowers and vegetables in pots. Limited for space for
growing? Advice and practical tips each week of the course.
