CART the Rural Transport Programme Operator in County Cavan has today (November 22nd 2012) announced that it is to Pilot a Passenger Transport Service from Blacklion, Dowra and Glangevlin to Cavan town which will also serve Killeshandra and Cavan General Hospital. Download service details HERE
This new pilot service will be the first public transport service that will link Blacklion, Dowra and Glangevlin to the county town. The reason why CART is piloting this service at this time is to ascertain the need for such a service. The pilot service will operate during December on Mondays and Fridays starting on the 3rd of December. The service will operate on Monday and Friday departing Blacklion @ 09.00, arriving in Cavan @ 10.42 with a return service departing Cavan @ 16.15 and arriving in Blacklion @ 17.55. As with all CART Public services Free Travel Passes will be accepted.
