We as adults tend to see the issues of racism and sectarianism from our perspective.  I was a school teacher for many years and I am very well aware that young people have a very different view of the world.  If at an early age, we can provide an opportunity for young people to understand equality and have an experience of other cultures the Policing and Community Safety Partnership and myself as Chairperson welcome and endorse the programme. – Rosemary Barton, Chairperson, Fermanagh Policing and Community Safety Partnership.

The purpose of the programme is to create an environment where local young people can practice and experience equality and explore how racism, sectarianism and other negative social issues can be tackled in practical ways. Participating schools will be asked to use this as an opportunity to include pupils who don’t normally represent the school in sport.  The main aim is to encourage team spirit, fairness, skills and confidence in a safe but competitive environment.
