Small Grant & 1916 Commemorative Grant Schemes

The Cavan County Council Community Grant Scheme is a scheme of small grants open to community groups to implement projects that will result in greater social and community activity in their area such as small scale amenity projects, provision of equipment for community halls/groups, materials, etc.

The grant will not fund ongoing running costs.   This scheme is aimed at groups who have limited fund raising opportunities and the majority of grants awarded are in the region of €200 – €500.

Cavan County Council has extended the community grants scheme to include The 1916 Commemorative Grants Scheme in association with Ireland 2016 and the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.

Grants in the region of €200 – €400 may be available to groups who wish to run 1916 small scale events such as lectures, exhibitions, etc.

If your group is in West Cavan and would like advice or assistance with a grant application contact Sandy or Geraldine on 071 9853321.
