Belturbet Youth Theatre is starting back for our new term on Wednesday 24th January 2018 at 6.15pm in the Civic Centre/Town hall.
Very excited to be coming back, and it would be lovely to welcome some new members. If you or your young person is interested in drama, likes having fun, and would like to meet some new people, sign up on our FB page and we will be in contact or you can come along on the 24th at 6.15pm in the Civic Centre.
Belturbet Youth Theatre has been established by Belturbet Dramatic Society with support from Breffni Integrated and Youth Theatre Ireland. It is open to any young person from 6th class to Transition Year.
Breffni Integrated and the HSE are holding a SafeTALK suicide prevention training workshop in Belturbet on Thursday 25th May from 7-10pm (registration from 6.30pm). Venue to be confirmed.
SafeTALK is a 3-hour suicide alertness programme that prepares participants to identify persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources. The set of skills taught during the course may help to save lives. Participants can expect to leave SafeTALK training more willing and able to perform an important helping role for persons with thoughts of suicide.
The workshop is free and open to everyone 18 years and over. It is advised that people who have been directly affected by suicide in the last 12 months don’t attend the workshop.
